Responsibilities

  • Researches, develops, and implements outreach plans for assigned audiences and markets.
  • Serves as a trainer and mentor for junior employees.
  • Identifies and engages prospective student inquiries through referrals, conferences, educational fairs, career days, campus tours, and special events.
  • Contacts prospective students to provide information regarding available programs and services.
  • Communicates admissions requirements, program offerings, curriculum information, and basic financial aid information through various communication channels.
  • Handles and processes inquiries in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Provides assistance in completing application and admissions-related documentation.
  • Conducts a holistic review of applicant files, including evaluation of high school transcripts, grades, curriculum, quality of high school, college transcripts, letters of recommendation, essays, extracurricular activities, and other information relevant to the application; makes admissions decisions and scholarship recommendations and updates information in the University's student information systems.
  • Serves as a liaison between admissions colleagues, academic advisors, financial aid staff, residential life personnel, and other institutional stakeholders to ensure a coordinated applicant experience.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with alumni, students, community organizations, professional associations, and other stakeholders to support outreach and informational activities.
  • Delivers presentations regarding programs, admissions requirements, and institutional resources to prospective students and community audiences.
  • Coordinates or participates in outreach activities, including conferences, educational fairs, career days, campus tours, and special events.
  • Represents the institution at professional, civic, and business functions.
  • Identifies key audiences and determines appropriate communication approaches to effectively share program and admissions information.
  • Gathers data on competitors and analyzes program offerings, enrollment patterns, and communication practices.
  • Maintains relationships with alumni, students, community organizations, professional associations, and other stakeholders to support outreach and informational activities.
  • Monitors industry statistics and follows relevant trends and developments.
  • Measures and assesses constituent satisfaction.
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of outreach and communication activities and provides recommendations for improvement.
  • Maintains student data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Serves on two or more committees as assigned.
  • Manages travel expenses in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Completes special projects as assigned.

$47,000 annually.

Schedule

May be required to work nights or weekends as operational needs require.

Physical Requirements

  • Speech Recognition – Must be able to identify and understand the speech of another person.

  • Lifting – Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Transportation – Must possess a valid driver's license and have reliable local transportation. Must have a valid passport or the ability to obtain within 6 months.
