About the role

The Admissions Counselor/Recruiter reports to the Director of Admissions and is responsible for participating in activities and tasks that result in moving students through the enrollment funnel. The enrollment funnel includes the following critical processes: Prospect Generation, Inquiry Management, Application Development, and Admission to Enrollment. The focus of this position is the recruitment, engagement, nurturing, and development of prospective students to assist with meeting or exceeding enrollment goals established by the administration.

Responsibilities

• Manage a full range of recruitment and travel territory activities in support of departmental goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree plus one year of professional experience in a related field, or two years of professional experience, or an equivalent combination of post-secondary training, education, and/or professional experience.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in oral, written, and interpersonal settings.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven ability to prepare and deliver effective public presentations.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools, preferably Slate.
• Experience with Banner.
• Knowledge and understanding of higher education systems.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
