Admissions Counselor/Recruiter

About the role

The Admissions Counselor/Recruiter reports to the Director of Admissions and is responsible for activities and tasks that move students through the enrollment funnel, which includes prospect generation, inquiry management, application development, and admission to enrollment.

Responsibilities

• Participate in recruitment and travel territory management activities to support departmental goals.
• Recruit, engage, nurture, and develop prospective students to help meet or exceed enrollment goals.
• Communicate effectively in oral, written, and interpersonal settings.
• Organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Prepare and deliver effective public presentations.
• Manage a full range of recruitment/travel territory management activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus one year of professional experience in a related field or two years of professional experience or an equivalent combination of post-secondary training, education and/or professional experience.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in oral, written, and interpersonal settings.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool, preferably Slate.
• Experience with Banner.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
