Admissions Counselor

Physical Location: Geauga Campus - Twinsburg Academic Center - Twinsburg, OH

About the role

To recruit diverse undergraduate students to the University; to plan and implement programs to increase the quantity and quality of new students; to disseminate information regarding the University. Reports to Assistant Director, Admissions.

Responsibilities

• Represent the university and disseminate information at high schools and college fairs within an assigned territory.
• Counsel prospective students and families; assist students through the college selection process.
• Answer telephone inquiries and send information to prospective students.
• Plan and participate in special programs and events to increase new student enrollment.
• Give presentations on the university to diverse audiences including high school students, parents, alumni, guidance counselors, and colleagues.
• Assist with the publication of Admissions Office recruitment and promotional materials.
• May supervise students and/or provide functional guidance of support staff or other employees who work on a project or assignment on a temporary or intermittent basis.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Marketing, Communications, or a relevant field.
• Three months of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of personal computer applications.
• Skill in written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
