About the role
The Admissions Counselor plays a crucial role in recruiting prospective students to Mount St. Mary's University through various activities such as high school visits, college fairs, and on-campus programs.
Responsibilities
- Represent the university to high schools and college fairs
- Plan, manage, and execute recruitment travel
- Establish and maintain relationships with secondary school counselors
- Conduct on-campus and off-campus information sessions
- Participate in the evaluation of applications and selection of the incoming class
- Assist with general administrative responsibilities for the Admissions Office
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree with good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to relate to and work well with a variety of people
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to travel and work nights and weekends
- One to two years of relevant experience working in college admissions or higher education
- Bilingual (Spanish preferred)

- Articulate the values of a liberal arts education in the Catholic tradition

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of the university's academic, social, religious, and athletic programs and events
Pay
$45,500/year (actual compensation will be commensurate with experience, education, and qualifications)
