About the Role

The Admissions Coordinator provides professional evaluations of AAC services to potential clients and/or family members. This includes accepting inquiries, explaining services and costs, conducting telephonic intakes, and guiding individuals on federal regulations. The role also involves working with existing patients and families to facilitate continuation of care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality customer service standards for internal and external clients.
• Use soft skills such as active listening, building rapport, empathy, and motivational interviewing.
• Communicate and educate on facility-specific features and benefits based on client clinical needs.
• Provide ongoing professional development with a focus on clinical knowledge.
• Offer welcome information to incoming patients and support persons, including facility offerings, transition support through levels of care, and clinical staff contact details.
• Communicate financial responsibilities for treatment and any third-party costs to patients and support persons.
• Monitor and communicate census and bed availability with admissions and on-site staff.
• Provide tours of the Treatment Center to potential patients, professionals, orientees, referral sources, and family members.
• Develop and maintain family rapport for patients, family, and staff.
• Partner with multiple departments (Billing, Insurance, Business Development, Facility staff) to achieve AAC’s mission.
• Adhere to AAC admission guidelines, federal regulations, and company policies.
• Conduct follow-up communication with discharging patients within 48 hours to ensure aftercare access, review submissions, and engage them in the AAC Alumni Program.
• Facilitate weekly Alumni introduction groups with admitted patients.
• Act as facility administrator for the Treatment Center AAC Alumni Program app.
• Attend conferences and professional events as a Treatment Center representative.
• Maintain Quality Assurance data on Patient Outcomes Tracking.
• Liaise with the corporate marketing team to provide updates on facility offerings, CEU events, website changes, print materials, and quarterly newsletters.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred.
• Strong computer proficiency, keyboarding skills, and ability to multitask (type and talk).
• Healthcare/behavioral health knowledge (e.g., psychology, nursing, social work) preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret, and communicate written information clearly and persuasively in both positive and negative situations.
• Strong goal achievement history with the ability to strategize, persuade, overcome objections, and negotiate in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to multitask and achieve metric goals with or without direct supervision.
• Passion for playing an integral role in AAC’s mission.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training within 30 days of hire.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
