About the Opportunity
The Admissions Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring that prospective clients are accurately screened and admitted to appropriate treatment programs. This position coordinates with various departments to gather necessary information, manages client inquiries, and supports the overall admission process to facilitate timely and effective client placement.
Responsibilities
- Maintain admission guidelines by understanding and recommending changes to criteria, policies, and procedures.
- Respond to program and facility inquiries via telephone and email.
- Collect and verify applicant information, including applications and medical details.
- Screen clients against admission criteria and determine eligibility or refer to other programs.
- Complete admission and financial responsibility forms and coordinate support services such as transportation.
- Address client or family concerns and recommend improvements to service policies.
- Prepare admissions reports by analyzing data and trends.
- Follow safety policies and procedures to ensure client safety.
- Maintain confidentiality to protect the organization’s reputation.
- Participate in educational opportunities and maintain professional knowledge.
- Take initiative to fulfill new requests and explore ways to add value.
Requirements
- A High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum two years of experience in addiction treatment admissions.
Skills
- Skills in call center, office, or records management.
- Proficient in business English including spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
- Ability to work independently.
- Strong customer relations and receptionist skills.
- Computer proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is a plus.
