You'll work closely with hospitals, physicians, case managers, social workers, families, and our clinical team to coordinate timely admissions while providing exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities Coordinate the admissions process from referral through admissionRespond promptly to inquiries from hospitals, physicians, families, and referral sourcesConduct tours for prospective residents and familiesReview referrals and screen prospective residents for admission eligibilityGather and review clinical information to determine admission appropriatenessVerify insurance benefits and financial eligibility prior to admissionDevelop and maintain strong relationships with hospitals, physicians, case managers, social workers, and other referral partnersCoordinate with hospital discharge planners to facilitate smooth transitions of careComplete admission documentation accurately and efficientlyCoordinate admission logistics with nursing and other departmentsHelp ensure every resident and family receives a welcoming, professional admission experienceParticipate in marketing, networking, and community outreach activitiesMaintain accurate information in electronic admissions systemsAssist with daily census management and occupancy goalsParticipate in morning clinical and admissions meetingsAddress resident and family questions or concerns professionally and promptlyPromote the services and capabilities of The Rehabilitation Center of Independence to referral sources and prospective residents What We're Looking For High school diploma or equivalent requiredPrevious healthcare admissions experience preferredExperience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care, hospital, hospice, assisted living, or healthcare marketing strongly preferredExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong customer service and relationship-building abilitiesHighly organized with excellent attention to detailStrong time management and multitasking skillsExperience with insurance verification and healthcare documentation preferredComfortable communicating with hospitals, physicians, families, and community partnersAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environmentProfessional appearance and positive attitude Experience That Transfers Well We're especially interested in candidates with experience as a: Admissions CoordinatorAdmissions DirectorHealthcare MarketerHospital LiaisonCase ManagerSocial Services CoordinatorSkilled Nursing ProfessionalRehabilitation ProfessionalLong-Term Care ProfessionalPost-Acute Care Professional If you have healthcare experience and enjoy working with people, building relationships, and helping patients and families, we encourage you to apply!
