Admissions Coordinator

About the role

A compassionate and dedicated Substance Use Disorder Admissions Coordinator is needed to manage the admissions process for potential patients seeking mental health treatment at our facility.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial patient assessments to determine the appropriate level of care and treatment needed
• Coordinate with medical staff to ensure that patients receive appropriate care and treatment
• Explain treatment options and programs to patients and their families
• Provide crisis intervention services as needed
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and families throughout the admissions process
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in accordance with facility policies and procedures
• Ensure that patients are admitted to the facility in a timely and efficient manner
• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure that patients receive comprehensive and coordinated care
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in a substance use disorder admissions or related role
• Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, nursing, or a related field (preferred)
• Knowledge of mental health disorders and treatment options
• Ability to work collaboratively with other staff members
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and in crisis situations
• Sales experience (preferred)
• Willingness to work weekends as required
