Admissions Coordinator
About the role
Mountain Youth Academy is nestled in Mountain City, Tennessee, near Johnson City, TN, Boone, NC, and Abingdon, VA. We are a 120-bed residential treatment facility that assists in the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of various behavioral health issues for young adolescents.
Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate the admissions process from initial inquiry through enrollment/admission.
- Respond to phone calls, emails, and walk-in inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
- Collect, review, and process required applications, forms, and documentation.
- Maintain accurate records in databases and filing systems.
- Schedule interviews, tours, assessments, or appointments as needed.
- Communicate admission decisions, next steps, and deadlines to applicants.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless onboarding/admission transitions.
- Provide excellent customer service to applicants, families, and referral sources.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
- Prepare reports and track admissions data as requested.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent required; an associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Previous experience in admissions, customer service, healthcare, education, or administrative support preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database systems.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
- A friendly, empathetic, and solution-oriented attitude.
