Responsibilities

  • Obtain resident/guardian signatures on all required permits, releases, authorizations, and admission documents in a professional and supportive manner.
  • Conduct welcoming, informative tours for prospective residents and their families, providing clear, compassionate information about services, facilities, and care options.
  • Maintain an accurate, up-to-date listing of all residents and their assigned room numbers to support efficient coordination and communication.
  • Cook up closely with healthcare providers, social workers, and family members to gather necessary documentation and ensure a smooth and timely admissions process.
  • Maintain a resident waiting list in accordance with established policies and procedures to ensure fairness, accuracy, and organization.
  • Support overall admissions and census goals through responsive communication, follow-up, and excellent customer service.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support admissions, marketing, and overall facility operations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2+ years in an Admissions, Business Development, or related role within long-term care or a healthcare setting.
  • Previous experience in healthcare community relations strongly preferred.
  • Strong sense of urgency, self-motivation, and goal-oriented mindset.
  • Able to work flexible hours, as admissions and marketing responsibilities may require.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage families with empathy, professionalism, and respect.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
