Responsibilities
- Obtain resident/guardian signatures on all required permits, releases, authorizations, and admission documents in a professional and supportive manner.
- Conduct welcoming, informative tours for prospective residents and their families, providing clear, compassionate information about services, facilities, and care options.
- Maintain an accurate, up-to-date listing of all residents and their assigned room numbers to support efficient coordination and communication.
- Cook up closely with healthcare providers, social workers, and family members to gather necessary documentation and ensure a smooth and timely admissions process.
- Maintain a resident waiting list in accordance with established policies and procedures to ensure fairness, accuracy, and organization.
- Support overall admissions and census goals through responsive communication, follow-up, and excellent customer service.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support admissions, marketing, and overall facility operations.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2+ years in an Admissions, Business Development, or related role within long-term care or a healthcare setting.
- Previous experience in healthcare community relations strongly preferred.
- Strong sense of urgency, self-motivation, and goal-oriented mindset.
- Able to work flexible hours, as admissions and marketing responsibilities may require.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage families with empathy, professionalism, and respect.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
