Responsibilities
- Coordinate the process for rehab, nursing home and/or assisted living admissions.
- Provide information and interview prospective residents and/or family members/responsible parties.
- Conduct tours and complete application and pertinent paperwork.
- Acquire insurance verification and prior authorization.
- Finalize admission arrangements to facilitate a smooth transition to designated facility.
- Review resident census information to stay informed of room/facility availability.
- Greet office visitors and answer telephones professionally and helpfully.
- Interview prospective residents, family members, and/or responsible parties, in person and by telephone.
- Assist prospective residents, family members, and/or responsible parties in obtaining pertinent information and services provided by assisted living or the skilled nursing center.
- Schedule and conduct tours, accompanying prospective residents, family members/responsible parties through nursing center or assisted living, describing services and features, discussing rates.
- Document in CRM program general information on all leads and all activities related to inquiries, scheduling follow-up as needed.
- Aid prospective residents, family members, and/or responsible parties in completing admissions contract, forms, and required paperwork.
- Ensure completion of admissions contract and all documents required prior to resident's admission.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (B.A) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred, not required.
- Must have basic computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and ability to learn CRM and EHR software as well as various hospital web-based programs.
- Must possess valid driver's license.
