Responsibilities
- Cook up all aspects of the admissions process from referral through admission.
- Respond promptly to referral inquiries and communicate with hospitals, physicians, case managers, and families.
- Verify insurance benefits and obtain required authorizations.
- Conduct facility tours for prospective residents and their families.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure timely and seamless admissions.
- Maintain accurate admission records and documentation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with referral sources and community partners.
- Assist with census development and occupancy goals.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and facility admission regulations.
Qualifications
- Previous admissions, marketing, or healthcare experience in a skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care setting preferred.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, and insurance verification processes preferred.
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems is a plus.
- Able to work collaboratively with clinical teams, referral sources, residents, and families.
- Professional, compassionate, and detail-oriented.
