Admissions Coordinator
Part-time role (23 hours per week).
About the role
The Admissions Coordinator serves as an ambassador for American Heritage School and plays an important role in advancing the School's mission by welcoming, informing, and guiding prospective families through the admissions process. As one of the first representatives of the School that many families encounter, the Admissions Coordinator is expected to model the School's values, demonstrate Christlike character, and support the religious mission of the School in all interactions. Candidates must possess a sincere desire to work in a faith-based educational environment aligned with the values and teachings of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Responsibilities
- Communicate effectively with families through email, phone, text, and in-person interactions.
- Conduct campus tours.
- Participate in family admissions interviews.
- Process student applications and maintain accurate admissions records.
- Assist families throughout the enrollment process with warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail.
- Exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and represent the School in a manner consistent with its mission, values, and standards.
Requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational abilities and the capacity to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and common office software.
- Strong word processing and data entry skills.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Minimum of two years of experience in admissions, customer service, education, or a related field (preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree (recommended but not required).
- Sincere desire to contribute to a faith-based educational environment aligned with the values and teachings of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
- Enduring love of youth and enjoyment working with families.
Faith and Conduct Expectations
As an employee of American Heritage School, the Admissions Coordinator is expected to support and uphold the mission, values, and religious character of the School. Although this position does not include classroom teaching responsibilities, it plays an important role in advancing the School's mission by serving as a trusted representative to prospective families and the community. The Admissions Coordinator is expected to model integrity, kindness, professionalism, and Christlike conduct in all interactions with students, families, fellow employees, and visitors. Employees are expected to conduct themselves in a manner consistent with the School's mission and the standards outlined in the Employee Handbook. Because this position serves as one of the primary points of contact for prospective families, the Admissions Coordinator is expected to represent the School in a manner that reflects its religious mission, values, and commitment to Christ-centered education.

Pay
Negotiable based on qualifications and experience.
