Essential Functions of the Role
- Creates a positive first impression and experience for arriving patients
- Completes and audits new admission paperwork for patient demographic, medical history, and insurance details relevant to referral acceptance
- Accurately enters new patient’s data in EMR record
- Utilizes EMR and other software to collect patient time of service payments
- Coincides with scheduling staff to make follow-up appointments or facilitate appointment scheduling if necessary
- Answers phones and completes associated clerical tasks as needed
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience as an Admissions Coordinator or a comparable position required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
Desired Qualifications
- 2+ years in a clinical practice environment
- Experience in Cardiac Healthcare
- Experience with EMR
Physical Requirements
- Full range of body motion
- Sit, walk and stand for extended periods of time
- Talk or hear, both in person and by telephone
- Use hands repetitively to handle or operate standard office equipment
- Reach with hands and arms
- Lift up to 25 pounds

- Work is performed in typical medical practice
