About the role
Be the First Friendly Face in a Resident's Journey! Western Slope Healthcare Center is looking for a compassionate, organized, and customer-focused Admissions Assistant to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Welcome prospective residents, families, hospitals, and referral partners with professionalism and compassion.

- Coordinate and schedule admissions, including pre-admission assessments and required documentation.
- Maintain accurate resident records in compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations.
- Aid in insurance verification, prior authorizations, and financial eligibility processes.
- Conduct facility tours for prospective residents and families.
- Collaborate with nursing, social services, therapy, and administrative departments to ensure seamless admissions.
- Prepare admission packets and required documentation.
- Communicate with hospitals, physicians, case managers, and referral sources to coordinate timely admissions.
- Support marketing, census development, and community outreach initiatives as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous admissions, healthcare, or skilled nursing experience strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, and insurance verification processes.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR); PointClickCare (PCC) experience is a plus.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent sitting, standing, and walking.
- Occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
- Regular use of computers, phones, and office equipment.
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy healthcare environment.
- Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills.
Pay
$23.00–$27.00 per hour (DOE)
