Responsibilities

  • Supports in-state, out-of-state, and international transfer recruitment and enrollment efforts by independently planning and executing complex, multi-day travel schedules; representing Auburn University at community college visits, college fairs, and community-based programs across assigned territories; and contributing to Alabama-focused transfer outreach and yield activity as needed through targeted events, travel, and relationship-building with feeder institutions.
  • Builds and maintains strategic, data-informed relationships with key transfer partners across assigned territories by serving as the primary point of contact for community college advisors/counselors, transfer center staff, military and adult learner education offices, and community-based organizations; sustaining ongoing communication that strengthens the transfer pipeline; and engaging with regional/professional associations (e.g., ALACRAO, NACAC affiliates) to enhance visibility and support student pathways.
  • Provides comprehensive transfer admissions advising by responding to complex transfer-specific inquiries across multiple communication channels; delivering polished presentations to students, families, and institutional partners; and serving as a knowledgeable resource on transfer admission criteria, credit evaluation concepts, articulation/transfer pathways, deadlines, and program-specific requirements for targeted populations (e.g., military, adult, international transfer).
  • Performs intermediate-level transfer application review and decision support by independently evaluating moderately complex transfer applications that require holistic assessment of academic history and eligibility; making informed admission recommendations within established guidelines; meeting elevated review targets; and escalating highly complex cases to senior staff as appropriate.
  • Affords assistance with and/or leads recruitment and enrollment events by supporting planning, set-up, logistics, guest services, and delivery of transfer-focused information sessions for on-campus and off-campus programs, ensuring accurate messaging and a high-quality visitor experience.
  • Maintains accurate and strategic recruitment and enrollment data by documenting outreach and engagement activity in university systems; analyzing territory and partner-institution performance to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges; producing territory/institution-specific reports; developing data-driven recommendations to adjust recruitment strategy; and preparing briefings/presentations for leadership review and planning.
  • Completes required travel and expense documentation in compliance with university and departmental policies and procedures, including timely pre-trip planning requirements and post-trip reconciliation.
  • Engages in university representation and outreach by serving as an experienced ambassador for Auburn University and Undergraduate Admissions; partnering with academic colleges and campus units to coordinate program-specific transfer recruitment initiatives and strategies; and actively participating in relevant professional organizations and regional counseling/transfer networks.
  • Contributes to departmental goals and continuous improvement by collaborating with campus partners to support transfer student success initiatives; sharing expertise and informally mentoring colleagues as needed; identifying process inefficiencies in recruitment, review, or operations; and performing other duties assigned to advance recruitment and enrollment objectives.

Qualifications

  • Level II: Bachelor's degree- no specific discipline.
  • 2 years of experience in recruiting, public relations, marketing, advising or other student-facing support, and counseling.
  • Valid in state driver's license required upon hire.
  • Degree in Education, Communications, Marketing, Counseling, Public Administration, or related field desired.

Budgeted Salary

Budgeted salary for this position: $47,500.00 to $50,000.00
