Admission Coordinator - New Patients

About the Role
The New Patient Admissions Coordinator is an integral part of Kaleidoscope ABA's mission to deliver therapeutic services to children with autism. In this role, you will guide clients through our intake process, ensuring a smooth and supportive experience from start to finish. You will educate clients about our services, verify insurance, gather required documents, and submit authorizations.
Responsibilities
- Assist families in securing services by verifying insurance benefits, gathering intake documentation, and submitting authorizations.
- Function as a liaison between staff and families, ensuring paperwork is current and authorizations are renewed on time.
- Provide excellent customer service, helping clients navigate the process with confidence and clarity.
- Maintain compliance with insurance requirements, ensuring accurate submissions and renewals.
- Communicate effectively with clients, staff, and insurance companies to ensure optimum services.
- Offer administrative support to team members as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
- 3 years of insurance verification in the medical field.
- Experience building and retaining rapport with patients over the phone.
- Familiarity with health insurance, the authorization process, and working with insurance portals.
- Excellent customer service, time management, and organizational skills.
- A high level of attention to detail.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable with extensive work on the phone.
Qualifications
- Ability to create good rapport with new and existing clients and to gather data efficiently and effectively.
- Prior experience working as an ABA Intake Specialist is highly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.

Schedule
Hours of work: 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, full-time. Must fulfill the duties of the position regardless of the number of hours worked.
Working Conditions
- Exposure to constant or intermittent sounds is sufficient to cause distraction.
- Considerable stress may occur at times due to the pressure of meeting service requirements.
