Position: Administrator on Duty-Registered Nurse- Part Time 3rd Shift (State Role Title: Registered Nurse Manager I).

Responsibilities

• Provide supervisory coverage of the Nursing Department, other patient care areas, and the hospital after office hours (evening and night shifts, weekends).
• Apply high clinical insight and critical thinking skills.
• Develop and implement staffing plans based on patient acuity, census, and available staff.
• Serve as a resource to staff for solving clinical problems and assist in efficient utilization of staffing resources to meet patient care requirements.
• Report, document, and communicate shift incidents to the appropriate manager and director.
• Respond to behavioral and medical emergencies and assist as necessary.
• Act as a resource, interpret, and ensure adherence to Western State Hospital nursing policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Registered Nurse in Virginia.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Professional nursing experience.
• Supervisory experience.
• Strong communication and computer skills demonstrated in a professional career.

Qualifications

• Psychiatric nursing experience preferred.
• Psychiatric certification desired.
• Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in nursing from an accredited institution or higher education.
• Veteran or veteran spouse.
• Bilingual in Spanish.

Skills

• Strong communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills.

Pay

Hiring Range: $56.50 per hour. Pay Band: 5.

Schedule

Part‑time, 3rd shift (evening/night shifts, weekends).
