Primary Duties & Essential Functions
- Maintain and utilize sound working knowledge of all program standards (OCFS, OPWDD, CSE, and HIPPA)
- Recognize, evaluate and develop responses to divisional needs
- Maintain the safety, security, and behavioral management of division and is empowered to make decisions according to Agency Policy
- Affirm staffing standards are in adherence to regulatory standards
- Assign and reassign staff according to the individual needs of the units
- Ensure Vice President of Quality Assurance is notified of allegations of abuse
- Ensure operational policies are followed and adhered to
- Assist Activities Coordinator and the Recreation department to ensure daily schedules incorporate recreational and community activities
- Conduct briefings without going and incoming Administrator on Duty. Remain on duty until properly relived
- Complete all end of the month paperwork and routes accordingly
- Affirm that quarterly fire drills are conducted within the units
- Affirm that union contractual agreements are understood and maintained
Required Education, Knowledge And Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or a minimum of two years’ experience in a supervisory role
- Ability to manage time and workload effectively
- Problem solving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing
An equivalent combination of education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities.
Abilities And Working Conditions
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds
- Must be able to stand or run for moderate periods of time
- Must have a valid NYS driver’s license
- Must be able to perform restraints and maintain TCI certification
- Willingness to respond to the needs of a culturally diverse population
