General Purpose
The primary purpose of your job position is to direct the day-to-day functions of the facility in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern nursing facilities to assure that the highest degree of quality care can be provided to our residents at all times.
Essential Duties
- Oversees Quality care and analyzes the entire operation of the nursing facility.
- Responsible for the overall operational functioning of the facility.
- Makes a daily census.
- Plans, develops, organizes, implements, evaluates, and directs the facility’s programs and activities in accordance with guidelines issued by the governing board.
- Complies and develops reporting on budget projections, revenue and expenses.
- Develops policies and procedures and holds direct reports accountable.
- Is a role model for our Mission, Vision and Values.
- Maintains relationships with community groups and local hospital leadership.
- Maintains awareness of industry regulations, laws, compliance updates, and makes changes appropriately.
- Monitors staffing levels and adheres to industry and company standards.
- Maintains oversight of policy and procedural changes.
- Resolves HR issues and Risk Management situations within the facility.
- Oversees capital improvements.
- Participates in Advisory committees.
- Ensures all facility personnel, residents, visitors, etc., follow established safety regulations.
- Develops and maintains a stellar reputation within the industry and community.
- Develops and maintains relationships with support team (HR/Therapy/Clinical/Finance) to assist in meeting/exceeding goals.
- Supports clinical efforts by understanding QA measures and holding people accountable.
- Keeps abreast of collections and A/R on a daily basis.
- Develops and executes creative ideas to increase employee engagement and minimize turnover.
- Understands and reviews Quality Measures on a regular basis.
- Aids survey team members in providing additional information during the survey to prevent deficiency citations.
- Conducts daily meetings with appropriate staff during facility inspections to discuss survey findings and formulate plans of action/correction.
- Reviews deficiencies noted during the exit conference.
- Provides additional information that may aid in removing the deficiency or lowering the scope and severity level of a cited deficiency.
- Aids in developing plans of correction for cited deficiencies. Ensures such plans incorporate timetables and methods of monitoring to ensure deficiencies do not recur.
Education And/or Experience
- Must possess, as a minimum, a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university, or equivalent.
- Master’s Degree or MBA preferred.
- Must maintain licensing credentials for an Administrator.

- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient in the Microsoft Suite products.
