Administrator (Doctoral Training Partnerships)
About the role
The successful candidate will provide outstanding professional services to support students, academic staff and other stakeholders related to the University’s network of Doctoral Training Partnerships (DTPs). They will contribute to the provision of an efficient, proactive and high-quality professional service to support and coordinate all aspects of the delivery and operation of the partnerships, including administrating studentship selection competitions and coordinating training events.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the provision of an efficient, proactive and high-quality professional service to support and coordinate all aspects of the delivery and operation of the Doctoral Training Partnerships.
- Administer studentship selection competitions.
- Coordinate training events.
Requirements
Recent experience of working in a similar professional service role, as well as excellent customer service skills. Strong organisational and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to manage a varied workload in a fast-paced and varied environment.
Qualifications
Applicants should have a relevant degree and ideally some experience in a professional service role supporting postgraduate research.

Pay
The salary on appointment will be £25,249 per annum, with an annual increment up to £26,093 per annum.
Schedule
This full-time post is available from 8 September 2026 on a fixed-term basis as maternity cover for up to 12 months. A secondment will be considered, and applicants should ensure that a secondment will be possible with their Line Manager/Head of Department, before submitting a formal application.
