Administrator (Commissioning)
About the role
This is an exciting time to join the Children and Families Commissioning Hub as we continue to grow and strengthen our friendly, supportive, and high-performing team. We are seeking an Administrator to deliver high-quality support across the Children and Families Commissioning Hub, working collaboratively across multiple areas of the service including:
Responsibilities
- Monitoring generic mailboxes and responding professionally to customer enquiries and service referrals.
- Processing invoices and goods receipting using the SAP system.
- Creating and updating electronic records using spreadsheets, databases, Liquid Logic, and Proactis (training provided).
- Preparing documents using Microsoft Word.
- Managing and updating spreadsheets using Excel.
- Combines creativity with practical expertise in SharePoint to design engaging and user-friendly digital resources.
- Booking meetings via Microsoft Teams and the internal room-booking system.
- Providing flexible support across the team, including cover during staff absence and during peak workload periods.
Requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience using Microsoft SharePoint and Teams.
- Experience of SAP or similar systems.
- Strong IT skills, with confidence across a range of systems and software.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet statutory and departmental deadlines.
- A customer-focused approach, with the ability to build effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including schools, parents, suppliers, public sector partners and early years settings.
- A flexible and proactive approach to managing your workload.

Pay
The salary for this role is £26,403 - £27,694 per annum.
Schedule
The role is based at Shire Hall, Gloucester. Initially, you will be office-based while completing induction and training. Following this, there will be an opportunity for hybrid working using GCC’s secure IT equipment. There is an expectation that the post holder works on site for part of each week to support effective team collaboration. Agile working remains subject to the needs of the service.
