Pay Rate: $19.06 per hour • Full Time • Non-Exempt
About the Role
Perform a variety of specialized departmental clerical duties and responsibilities within the Clerk of Courts department.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the selection of criminal juries.
- Distribute, docket in computerized case management system, scan, and file all correspondence and documents filed with the department.
- Answer telephone and take messages or transfer calls to proper individuals.
- Greet and assist the public by taking or providing information, receiving payments, or directing them to proper locations.
- Prepare and process required department documents, forms, and reports as required.
- Operate computer, scanner, copier, and other office equipment as needed.
- Expunge cases when ordered by the Court.
- Complete work produced by the assigned Judge.
- Attend in-person or Zoom criminal court proceedings in assigned courtroom, including gathering and disseminating data for other departments and criminal justice agencies regarding outcomes.
- Attend meetings and/or training sessions as required.
- Perform other job-related duties as required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent plus some additional secretarial and computer training.
- 3–5 years of working experience in an office setting and with the public preferred.
- Proficient in data entry/typing.
- Legal experience a plus.
Schedule
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
