Administrative Support Associate
Full-time, permanent SHRA clerical position in the School of Social Work.

About the Role
This position supports the School of Social Work, the Associate Dean, the Chairperson, faculty members, and students. Special emphasis is placed on customer service, communication, problem-solving, and knowledge of university and division programs and services. The role involves work coordination for the supervisor and office technology applicable to office operations, with a focus on budgets and accounting support.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service, including communication, problem-solving, and referrals.
- Coordinate office operations and support the supervisor’s workflow.
- Utilize office technology, with an emphasis on budgets and accounting support.
- Design Excel spreadsheets, create forms, and extract data from the Banner System to develop reports.
- Apply knowledge of standard policies, practices, and guidelines for office operations.
- Handle inquiries, make appropriate referrals, and use various software packages (e.g., Adobe, Microsoft Suite, Xtender document management, Ingeniux).
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalency; or demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.
- Proficiency in office software such as MS Office Suite.
- Knowledge of Navigate Banner Finance System and 25Live.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to make decisions necessary to handle inquiries and referrals.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a higher education or educational setting.
- Five years of office/administrative support experience.
Pay
$35,001.00 per year.
