Administrative Supervisor - Nursing Administration - PRN night shift

Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional image and exhibit excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers in accordance with Service Excellence Standards and Core Values.
• Demonstrate leadership and commitment to the quality management system by:
  • Promoting the use of the process approach and risk-based thinking.
  • Engaging, directing, and supporting persons to contribute to the effectiveness of the quality management system requirements.
  • Promoting improvement.
• Ensure safe and adequate patient care during the assigned shift.
• Serve as an administrative and clinical resource during the assigned shift.
• Manage administrative duties related to patient deaths.
• Provide an environment that demonstrates caring, compassion, and respect for all patients, families, and visitors.
• Responsible for record keeping and the storage and safety of medications.
• Report all quality concerns to the Director or Administrator on call for immediate action.
• Demonstrate competency in the following as an Administrative Nursing Supervisor:
  • Supervisor Rounds
  • Staffing
  • Unit Specific Admission Criteria
  • On-Call Administrator Notification
  • Patient Transfers
  • Supervisor Specific Policies and Circumstances
  • Diversion
  • Patient Death Management
  • Emergency Services Support
  • Coaching and Discipline
  • Workplace Self Care

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of related work experience.
• Must possess a valid South Carolina RN license.
• BLS certification required.
