Overview Be part of the nation’s only repository for the disposal of nuclear waste known as Transuranic (TRU) waste. Salado Isolation Mining Contractors, LLC (SIMCO), managing and operating contractor of the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) is currently seeking a qualified individual to serve as a Administrative Subcontract Technical Representative and join our team located in Carlsbad, New Mexico. Responsibilities The WIPP Site Administrative Subcontract Representative (ASTR) is tasked to administer and oversee all technical subcontract requirements including but not limited to; Statement of Work, site safety requirements, QA requirements, environmental policy requirements, subcontract submittals, invoice approval, coordinate subcontractor training, and subcontractor field oversight of low hazard activities. Specific Activities May Include Maintain AR/VRs for assigned contracts or for Project Subcontract Technical Representatives.Route the ARV/VRs for approval.Maintains file copies of all documents and correspondence relating to subcontract technical guidance.Administrative subcontract oversight for invoice verification and submittalsLimited means to support construction project manager while work is being performed ensuring subcontractor compliance with site procedures, training, addressing change notices, working with procurement and the subcontractor to ensure Statement of Work requirements are met.Create purchase requisitions or change notices for assigned contracts including placing requisitions for new contracts & putting any change notices into the system, & adding any funding that is required (i.e. Revised SOWs, MLDs, Funds, etc.)Transitions files to the Manager or Procurement Rep. upon completion of a project or contract for closeoutResponds to technical request from subcontractor and ensures responses are complete, timely, and comply with subcontract requirements.Collects and distributes subcontractor reports and submittals to Manager and others as needed.Schedules/Plans Integrated Project Team (IPT) meetingsRoutes Work Control Documents (WCDs) for review and signaturesPerforms other duties as assigned by Manager or Immediate Supervisor Minimum Requirements These requirements must be met to be considered for this posting. Education And Experience Associate’s degree with two (2) years of relevant experience, orHigh School Diploma or Equivalency with four (4) years of relevant experience is required.Must be 18 years of age.Must be authorized to work and remain in the United States without SIMCO visa sponsorship now or in the future.Must be able to obtain a Department of Energy badge for access to the WIPP Site (even if teleworking, must still be able to comply with security requirements to obtain a badge).Non-U.S. citizens from countries identified by the Department of Energy as posing heightened security concerns—including sensitive countries, state sponsors of terrorism, countries of risk, and other designated countries –are subject to additional security requirements that limit site access. Preferred Requirements Previous WIPP Experience and experience with IFMS is preferred. Salary Range $70,972 to $123,573. per year. Exempt grade level(s) 28-30. The specific salary offered to a candidate will be influenced by a variety of factors, particularly the candidate’s relevant experience and education.
