Key Responsibilities

  • Provides program coordination and administrative support for the Fisheries, Wildlife and Public Land Division.
  • Maintains lines of communication within the division and agency as well as with other agencies, sportsmen, landowners, news media, and the general public.
  • Performs administrative duties associated with the Fisheries, Wildlife and Public Lands Divisions.
  • Covers purchasing, general expense payments, and contracts processing/maintenance.
  • Coordinates the Division’s permitting processes, interprets rules, regulations and procedures for the Department’s wildlife rehabilitation, and nuisance wildlife damage control.
  • Aids in the coordination and program oversight of WIHA, WIFA, CFAP and Habitat First, assisting with contract processing, maintenance, and payment processing.
  • Helps with the county Banker’s Award wildlife habitat recognition program.
  • Assists the Public Lands Division Director with responsibilities related to public lands programs and administration.
  • Interacts daily with the general public, sportsmen, landowners and news media, responding to inquiries and requests through direct contact, telephone calls, e-mail or referral to the appropriate office or field staff.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Two years of experience in general office, clerical and administrative support work.
  • Two years computer experience with proficiency in Microsoft Office is preferred.
  • Accounting experience and web-based computer application experience are preferred.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and pass a background check.
