About the role
The Administrative Specialist manages the day-to-day operations of a large early childhood center, including four preschool classrooms and four infant-toddler classrooms, under the direction of the Preschool Director.
Responsibilities
- Monitor staff attendance and call-offs
- Manage the daily schedule
- Provide administrative support for center staff
- Provide direction to classroom support staff
- Assist the Preschool Director in maintaining necessary licensing paperwork
- Occasionally work in classrooms to maintain appropriate supervision ratios
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate degree preferred)
- Three years’ related experience
- Experience in an early education setting
- Experience managing staff schedules
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Complete a physical examination, comprehensive fingerprinted criminal background check, and pre-employment drug screen (negative result required for Amphetamines, Cannabinoids—including Marijuana/THC—Cocaine, Opiates, and Phencyclidine (PCP); Marijuana is prohibited in the workplace or in one's system, even if legally prescribed)

Pay
- High School Diploma/GED: $15.61/hr
- Associate degree: $17.84/hr
- Bachelor’s degree or higher: $19.12/hr
Schedule
Full-time, year-round (12-month), non-exempt, hourly position. Expected schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, 40 hours per week.
