About the role

The Administrative Division of the United States Attorney's Office is seeking an individual to provide a wide variety of administrative support services. This position involves working in areas such as Human Resources, Financial Management, and Procurement.

Responsibilities

  • Performs a wide variety of technical support duties in one or more of the following administrative services programs.
  • Maintains electronic databases to track information and suspense items.
  • Schedules appointments and makes arrangements for time, participants and locations of meetings.
  • Affords assistance in maintaining property records and conducting inventory.
  • Requests issuance, return and repairs of non-expendable office equipment and furniture.
  • Maintains warranties with anticipated expiration dates and service records for property.
  • Uses various software programs to create, copy, edit, store, retrieve and print a variety of documents; produce correspondence, memoranda, directives, forms reports; and create or maintain spreadsheets or databases.
  • Receives visitors to the USAO and refers each visitor to the appropriate person or office as appropriate and determined by local procedure.
  • Explains applicable security rules, regulations, and procedures regarding visitors to employees, managers, and visitors.
  • Issues visitor badges and passes, ensuring each visitor has the required access or escorts for the area for which they are entering.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship or Nationality.
  • Pre-employment adjudication including fingerprint, credit and tax checks, and drug testing.
  • Continued employment subject to a favorable adjudication of a background investigation.
  • Registration for Selective Service, if applicable.
  • One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-5 grade level in federal service.
  • Specialized Experience is performing a wide range of routine administrative and technical support duties for an office such as providing technical assistance sorting and retrieving data to produce documents and reports; preparing invoices and other fiscal items for payment; assisting preparing the budget and tracking expenditures; and inputting data into electronic databases to track information.
  • Eligible for ICTAP or CTAP consideration.
