Administrative Services Director IV - Limited Service
About the Role
The Vermont State Recovery Office, within the Agency of Administration (AoA), seeks an experienced finance and operations leader to serve as Administrative Services Director IV. The ideal candidate has an extensive background in budgeting and managing State and Federal funds, is organized and detail-oriented, communicates effectively, and is an experienced leader. This position plays a leadership role in a dynamic team that interacts with every Agency and Department within the state. The Recovery Office operates in a hybrid working environment; permission to telework is granted on an individual basis.
Responsibilities
- Perform and supervise administrative functions for a moderate-sized office, department, or agency.
- Lead and coordinate budgeting and management of State and Federal funds.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in accounting, business or public administration, or a related field AND three (3) or more years of professional-level experience performing and supervising administrative functions.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, business or public administration, office administration, or a related field AND five (5) or more years of professional-level experience performing and supervising administrative functions.
- Bachelor's degree in any field AND six (6) or more years of professional-level experience performing and supervising administrative functions.
- High school diploma or equivalent AND ten (10) or more years of professional-level experience performing and supervising administrative functions.
- One (1) or more years as an Administrative Services Director III with the State of Vermont.
Only administrative work experience is qualifying. Administrative support includes functions that keep the organization running or provide resources for programmatic work (e.g., accounting, budget management, grant administration, finance, human resources, payroll, purchasing, or space management).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with the VISION system (the State of Vermont PeopleSoft financial management system).
