Pay
Pay grade H-12. Hourly rate: $19.25 – $25.99 (effective July 1, 2026).
Responsibilities
- Provides clerical and accounting support to the department supervisor.
- Plans, initiates, and carries to completion clerical and administrative support activities.
- Maintains control records on incoming correspondence and action documents; follows up on work in progress to ensure timely response or action.
- Screens supervisor’s telephone calls and mail, personally responding to routine items and forwarding the remainder with pertinent background material.
- Formats and types confidential and general correspondence, reports, and statistical data; tabulates and prepares reports of financial and statistical data.
- Operates a computer using word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation software to prepare correspondence, memoranda, and accounting materials.
- Performs office-related financial, accounting, and budgetary tasks using a variety of office technology hardware and software.
- Compiles data for reports; gathers and interprets information from appropriate sources; prepares information and presentation packets.
- Communicates with community agencies and court services.
- Schedules team meetings and hearings with families, service providers, community agencies, and school division personnel.
- Tracks and monitors student and family status relative to suspensions, community charges, external placements, and chronic absenteeism.
- Performs all other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s Degree preferred.
- Considerable responsible accounting and clerical experience.
- Good communication and human-relation skills.
- At least 3 years of experience as a secretary in an educational institution or office setting (external candidates only).
- Proficiency in FileMaker Pro and Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), preferably in a Macintosh environment.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment: computers, fax machines, telephones, printers, copiers, etc.
