About the role
The Administrative Officer (AO) serves as the principal assistant to the Security Team Manager (STM) in providing security services and related operations to the data center. The AO may act as the primary point of contact to data center management and security personnel when the STM is unavailable, and supports training, certification, scheduling, audit compliance, system monitoring, and access rights maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Assist with training and certification for new security personnel and maintain required training documentation.
- Ensure all security personnel adhere to policies and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Act as Screener, Screening Supervisor, Responder, or Control Room Supervisor during periods of increased activity or staff absence.
- Maintain and troubleshoot on-site security technology; support other critical infrastructure sites as needed.
- Recommend corrective actions for security staff to the STM and assist with counseling and corrective action as directed.
- Assist with scheduling, site equipment inspections, and audit compliance at the data center and potentially sister sites.
- Conduct recurring audits and prepare and submit critical and confidential information to client management.
- Maintain required security documentation with accuracy in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Perform routine business tasks and additional tasks assigned by management.
- Identify security shortfalls and offer suggestions for improving the security program.
- Evaluate and escalate potential safety issues within the facility; follow safe work practices and report unsafe conditions to supervisors.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have a reliable means of communication, such as a cell phone.
- Must have a reliable means of transportation (public or private).
- Must have the legal right to work in the United States.
- Must have the ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently.
- Must have a high school diploma, secondary education equivalent, or GED.
- Must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
Qualifications
- Associate degree and 4 or more years of responsible experience in the security industry and/or business management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job.
- Experience in staff supervision is desired.

Working Conditions and Physical/Mental Demands
- Maintaining composure when dealing with authorities, executives, clients, staff, and the public, occasionally under urgency and pressure.
- Exposure to stressful situations, such as challenging unauthorized individuals.
- May be required to work overtime without advance notice.
- Keyboard and basic computer usage, including long periods of data entry.
- Frequent sitting, standing, and walking for long periods or up to 12 miles; may involve climbing stairs, walking on inclines, uneven terrain, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
- Ability to carry up to a 2.5-pound device during the entire shift.
- May be exposed to inclement weather or required to work in environments requiring protective gear and awareness of personal safety.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.

- May be required to use a vehicle in the performance of duties.

Special Requirements
- Able to work a flexible schedule, including evening, weekend, and holiday hours.
- Must be able to meet and continue to meet licensing requirements for security officers as applicable to local, county, and state laws and regulations.
- Must be able to meet and continue to meet requirements for specific skills, certifications, and authorizations specified for assigned accounts.

$29.00 per hour
