Administrative Office Technology Adjunct Instructor "Pool"
Job Responsibilities
Adjunct instructors may teach at the Lex D. Walters Campus and/or at one of the college’s six county centers located in Laurens, Newberry, Edgefield, Saluda, Abbeville, and McCormick. Opportunities may include daytime or evening classes, online instruction, and dual credit courses offered at local high schools.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, teaching a diverse student body in accordance with established syllabi at various locations, utilizing instructional technology, and applying a variety of effective teaching methods. Additional duties include planning, managing, and delivering course instruction; following all EPA and OSHA regulations that pertain to the program; participating in college functions as needed; and applying teaching practices that support the continuous improvement of both the program and the college.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field is required, along with Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) certifications in Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- All courses with an AHS or HIM prefix require a master's degree in Health Information Management (HIM) or a related field and/or certification in medical coding and billing.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications include a bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field, along with Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) certifications in Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint. Additional qualifications may include a master's degree in Health Information Management (HIM) or a related field and/or certification in medical coding and billing for courses with an AHS or HIM prefix.
