Job Duties
- Teach courses via on ground, online, hybrid or web-enhanced modalities as assigned.
- Teach evening, weekend, off-campus, dual enrollment and distance-based courses as required.
- Submit class syllabus or update department syllabus at least 2 weeks prior to the first day of class or within seven days of the execution of contract.
- Regularly check your VSCC email and your departmental mailbox.
- Respond to emails/messages within 48 hours except on the weekend.
- Submit final grades for each semester by the deadline established by the Registrar.
- Complete required College trainings.
- Complete all required reports such as attendance, Early Alerts, progress reports, grade submissions and administer and return surveys by the required deadlines.
- Advise the Department Chair at the earliest possibility if you are unable to teach a class.
- Attend meetings as requested by the Department Chair and/or Dean.
- Comply with all of the College’s and TBR’s policies and guidelines.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a computer information technology-related discipline from an accredited institution.
- -OR-
- Associate’s degree or higher from an accredited institution and demonstrated competencies in computer information technology.
- Computer information technology-related disciplines include but are not limited to programs/majors such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Decision Science, Information Science, Information Management, Information Systems and Technology Management.
- Demonstrated competencies can be documented through one or more IT-related certifications, such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Cisco CCNA and/or at least two years of relevant work experience.
- Required qualifications plus IT-related industry certifications.
- Colligate level teaching experience.
- Master's degree in a qualifying field from an accredited institution; OR a Master's degree with 18 graduate hours in a qualifying field from an accredited institution.

Pay Rate
$675 - $800 per credit hour
