Administrative Coordinator
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Serves as the first point of contact for both internal and external constituents.
- Resolves issues and/or directs individuals to the correct person or resource within the organization with minimal supervision.
- Plans and schedules events, prepares reports and maintains files and databases.
- Prepares correspondence, schedules and confirms appointments, shares documents and other materials and arranges travel.
- Manages the schedule for the department or unit, including prioritizing requests and resolving scheduling conflicts.
- Makes suggestions to more efficiently run the department of unit.
- Initiates, schedules, and/or monitors the processing of hiring requests, budget transfers, contracts, requisitions, supplies and room reservation and setup.
- Writes and edits internal communications.
- May assist supervisor in the development of public materials (e.g., brochures, websites, advertisements).
- May lead a team of non-exempt employees to achieve a desired outcome.
- Manages work stream for the group and ensures achievement of objectives.
Required Minimum Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED.
- 5 to 8 years of work related experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
Responsibility for Public Contact
Daily contact requiring courtesy, discretion, and sound judgment.
