Key responsibilities
- Affords assistance with special projects and the creation of complex reports through the compilation of data, performing calculations, and the creation of charts, spreadsheets, and related documents.
- Handles transcription and typing of scientific and technical materials from various formats, uses desktop publishing software to prepare stylized documents, and proofreads for grammatical and factual accuracy.
- Maintains communication by answering calls, greeting visitors, drafting responses, and providing routine information within scope.
- Coordinates schedules, meetings, and travel; oversees the organization of conferences and events by managing logistics, registrations, supplies, and materials.
- Maintains departmental files, databases, and resource materials; compiles and distributes reports and information as required.
- Maintains office supplies and equipment; manages ordering, repairs, invoice reconciliation, and service requests.
- Prepares and tracks administrative forms; routes materials for approvals and resolves processing delays.
- Leads office support staff by assigning tasks, monitoring performance, training new hires, and supporting HR processes such as evaluations and discipline.
Minimum qualifications
- A high school level of education
- One year of relevant experience
- An in-depth knowledge and understanding of the department and hospital programs, policies, procedures, and information related to his/her functions and services.
- Initiative in improving operations within area/department, and the ability to assist in implementing changes.
- Ability to assist in overseeing the daily activities of co-workers to help plan, prioritize and delegate work assignments.

Monday-Friday, Hybrid after training
Pay Range
The posted pay range is Boston Children’s reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.
