Administrative Assistant/Receptionist (Physical Therapy Office)

Responsibilities
- Assure provision of office functions such as: patient scheduling, reception duties, medical record preparation, clinic statistics and report compilation, data collection and dissemination, regarding but not limited to, patient demographics and third-party payers, and all other necessary clerical and office functions.
- Obtains and tracks authorizations.
- Possesses exceptional communication skills and performs multiple tasks while remaining courteous.

- Possesses the skills and competencies necessary to communicate, assess, evaluate, perform treatments, set goals, and educate in accordance with age-specific criteria and issues of adolescence, adult, and geriatric patients within the context of the job responsibilities and functions.
- Demonstrates the ability to clearly and effectively communicate (to include reading, writing and speaking) to all patients, family members, visitors and other staff members with the expectation that each employee, within the context of their specific job duties.
- Can read interpret, understand and communicate clearly and effectively in order to ensure proper understanding, all written/ verbal communication are followed and information is shaped appropriately.
- Demonstrates, maintains and upholds expectations set forth in the organizational Policy and Procedures Manual.
- Participates in safety programs of the organization by identifying potential risks and promoting patient safety as well as environmental safety.
- Accomplishes individual and team goals and objectives established by supervisor based on prior performance evaluation.
Minimum Education & Experience
- A High School Diploma or equivalent; required.
- Physical Therapy/medical office setting experience that required multi-tasking; preferred.
- Basic knowledge of computer skills, including but not limited to, all Microsoft programs, and keyboard familiarity.
- Basic knowledge of office procedures, including but not limited to, faxing, copying and scanning documents, filing, verbal and written skills.
- Customer service and interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with staff members, supportive personnel, patients, physicians, and community members; required.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $XX - $YY per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
The office administrator works Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
