About the role
The role is available on an alternating Saturday schedule, with office hours from Monday to Thursday 8am-6pm, and Friday 8am-4pm.
Responsibilities
- Provide top-notch customer service.
- Be attentive to client and pet needs.
- Answer and triage phone calls and emails from clients.
- Schedule appointments and procedures.
- Check-in clients and monitor client flow from check-in to discharge.
- Complete client follow-ups and reminders.
- Able to work patiently with distressed, frustrated, or disgruntled clients.
- Manage record requests between other hospitals and specialty practices.
- Process payment transactions.
- Relay appropriate information to/from clients to Veterinarian(s) and/or Office Manager.
- Maintain proper documentation in the electronic medical record.
- Aid in cleaning the hospital, including but not limited to: laundry, floors, taking out the trash and recycling, cleaning treatment and areas, surgery, exam rooms, kennels, bathrooms, kitchen and grounds.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience as a receptionist is preferred.
- Must be a team player willing to learn new techniques and treatments and to accept change.
- Be attentive to detail, flexible, and patient, well organized, and self-motivated.
- Must have excellent communication skills and be open to constructive feedback.
- Must have a friendly demeanor and conduct themselves in a professional manner.
- Must be able to multi-task and prioritize.

Office hours are Monday-Thursday 8am-6pm, Friday 8am-4pm, Saturday 8am-1pm. Exact schedule to be determined, but alternating Saturdays will be required.
Pay
Salary: $16.00 – $18.00 per hour.
