Position Summary and Responsibilities

Based at our Columbus or Mason, Ohio office, the Administrative Assistant supports daily school operations with a primary focus on attendance, truancy, and student records.

  • Schedule and conduct truancy meetings with caretakers/guardians.
  • Answer and direct phone calls, emails, and parent inquiries regarding student attendance.
  • Send attendance and truancy notification letters to families at various stages of the process.
  • Utilize pivot tables in Google Sheets to monitor student attendance trends and engagement.
  • Perform mail merges to send out attendance notices to families.
  • Request, receive, and process student records from other schools.
  • Cook with other schools to obtain required records.
  • Call families and schools to follow up on enrollment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma, or equivalent, required.
  • 1–2 years of administrative experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace (Mail, Calendar, Drive, Docs, Sheets, etc.).
  • Intermediate skill level in Excel/Google Sheets.
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written).
  • Strong interpersonal skills, customer-focused, and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced, team environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality (FERPA compliance).
