Administrative Assistant, Occupational Therapy Program
About the role
The Administrative Assistant position for the Occupational Therapy Program supports the needs of the Occupational Therapy Department and clinical education through software management, clerical support, data entry, and event support as needed. Occasional weekend and/or evening hours may be required during Commencement Weekend, Homecoming Weekend or other special events.

Required Qualifications
- Professional presence with excellent interpersonal communication and written skills
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office products, particularly Word and Excel
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with regular interruptions
- Associate’s degree or any combination of education and experience that illustrates the knowledge and skills to fulfill position responsibilities
- Hold a valid Virginia driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience with database management tools
- Previous experience in a professional/office environment
Physical Demands & Work Environment
Due to the hands-on nature of network support, this is an on-premises position located in Staunton, Virginia. Ability to lift and move computer equipment (up to 50 lbs.). Ability to work in server rooms, telecom closets, and other infrastructure spaces. Occasional evenings, weekends, and on-call work may be required to support after-hours maintenance windows and emergency response for network-related outages or critical changes.
