About the role
The Department of Health seeks a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Public Health Educator. This position will provide education and outreach services to promote healthy behaviors and improve public health outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement educational programs and materials for various audiences
- Conduct community health assessments and needs assessments
- Provide technical assistance to community organizations and agencies
- Collaborate with other public health professionals to develop and implement health promotion initiatives
- Assist in the development and implementation of health education campaigns
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Health Education, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in public health education or related field
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Qualifications
- Knowledge of public health principles and practices
- Experience with grant writing and proposal development
- Ability to analyze data and present findings effectively

Pay
The starting salary range for this position is $45,000 - $60,000 annually.
Schedule
The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
