Responsibilities
- Provides timely, smooth and professional communication and correspondence related to all corps programs, including feedback and follow-up with staff, leadership, corps members, program leaders, clients, visitors, and volunteers
- Manages and distributes incoming calls, mail, email, and faxes
- Works with Corps Officer and other staff to create, prepare, and send mailings, and emails, as needed
- Maintains inventory of supplies, furnishings, equipment; orders supplies as requested
- Affixes donations (mail and other) as directed and prepares income sheet for bookkeeper
- Maintains spreadsheets and databases
- Affixes with the recording of all donations (mail and other) as directed and prepares income sheet for bookkeeper
- Maintain forms (social services, youth registration, employment) as requested
- Create weekly worship bulletins, periodic flyers and other church communication materials
- Provide input to building upkeep and maintenance needs – report all problems, schedule outside vendors as needed
- Attend meetings, including advisory board, recording notes and preparing minutes as requested
- Volunteer coordination using The Salvation Army volunteer databases
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Education/Experience: High school graduate or equivalent (GED) required; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities Two years of office or administrative experience (preferred)
- Skills, Knowledge & Abilities: Maintain strict confidentiality Excellent organizational, grammar, writing and typing skills Ability to communicate effectively and accurately Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 Working knowledge of TEAMS and SharePoint Willingness to learn new software as needed
- Certificates And Licenses: Complete Safe From Harm training, and keep current as needed Must have a current valid driver’s license and pass the Salvation Army Motor Vehicle Record check (MVR)
