About the role
The administrative assistant to AFROTC supports cadre and cadets in a variety of administrative and clerical capacities, including ordering instructional supplies, maintaining the budget, coordinating battalion activities with university constituents, supporting cadets' needs, and supervising student workers where appropriate.
Responsibilities
- Schedule meetings and respond to phone calls and emails for AFROTC cadre.
- Arrange travel for AFROTC cadre.
- Support the program budget by ordering supplies and tracking and reconciling expenses.
- Cadet support includes addressing inquiries, scheduling meetings, coordinating with the registrar's office, and recruiting and hiring student workers.
- Promotional activities involve coordinating with the office of brand management to promote the ROTC.
Requirements
High School (or GED) level ability in grammar, spelling, basic composition, and math. 1-3 years of administrative experience required.
