About the role
DSG is seeking an Administrative Assistant in our La Crosse, WI location. In this full time, hourly position, work is typically performed between the hours of 7am and 5pm, Monday through Friday, but may vary on occasion according to business needs.
Responsibilities
- Answer and direct calls in a courteous and professional manner
- Greet customers/visitors, direct them to the appropriate person/area and/or respond to their inquiries
- Balance cash drawer and prepare bank deposit daily
- Operate office equipment
- Keep office supplies stocked
- Create and maintain spreadsheets and databases as requested by the Office Manager
- Auxiliary in coordinating for branch events (i.e. hotel booking, food/catering orders, etc.)
- Auxiliary in the Office Manager on other administrative duties and special projects
- Auxiliary in the freight claim process
- Work with Manufacturing Rep. Agencies
- General Data entry
- All other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Minimum of 1-3 years of general office work experience
- Outstanding interpersonal, customer service and communication skills across a variety of settings (in-person, phone, and email)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- A high regard for confidentiality and discretion
- Strong attention to detail, paired with the ability to multi-task
- An ability to develop and support a culture of teamwork
- The ability to plan, prioritize and organize work efficiently and to work effectively under pressure and time deadlines
