Specific Responsibilities Include
- Receiving/directing visitors
- Answering calls and directing to appropriate staff
- Inputting, monitoring and reporting student data in eSchool: Daily attendance
- Maintain family contact information
- Maintain office referrals
- Tracking students entering and leaving the building (Sinclair, job shadows, internships, etc.)
- Maintaining accurate student phone numbers in DECA’s One Call system
- Preparing memos and other forms of correspondence (e.g. newsletters)
- Compiling data under supervision
- Maintaining off-campus lunch eligibility
- Requisitioning and inventorying office supplies
- Performing work requiring decisions and notification of key personnel
- Filing correspondence and records
- Operating and maintaining office equipment
- Providing EMIS assistance to EMIS coordinator as needed
- Monitoring leave requests in employee kiosk
- Coinciding teacher coverage (i.e. substitute teachers)
- Coinciding suspension appeal and expulsion hearings
- Periodically transporting students complying with traffic ordinances and school transportation policy
- Performing other duties as required
Working Environment
- Workplace locations include: School, activity center, outdoor play areas; Retreat/field sites; and Other environments as deemed necessary/appropriate
Terms of Employment
- 260 days
- Salary to be determined based on experience and education level
- All staff members are issued one-year contracts
Physical Demands
- While performing the duties of his/her job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, talk, and/or hear.
- The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Additional Working Conditions
- The noise level in this work environment is quiet to loud depending on the activity and location.
- Working conditions for this job include (1) possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and tissue; and (2) occasional operation of a motor vehicle to transport students.
