Specific Responsibilities Include

  • Receiving/directing visitors
  • Answering calls and directing to appropriate staff
  • Inputting, monitoring and reporting student data in eSchool: Daily attendance
  • Maintain family contact information
  • Maintain office referrals
  • Tracking students entering and leaving the building (Sinclair, job shadows, internships, etc.)
  • Maintaining accurate student phone numbers in DECA’s One Call system
  • Preparing memos and other forms of correspondence (e.g. newsletters)
  • Compiling data under supervision
  • Maintaining off-campus lunch eligibility
  • Requisitioning and inventorying office supplies
  • Performing work requiring decisions and notification of key personnel
  • Filing correspondence and records
  • Operating and maintaining office equipment
  • Providing EMIS assistance to EMIS coordinator as needed
  • Monitoring leave requests in employee kiosk
  • Coinciding teacher coverage (i.e. substitute teachers)
  • Coinciding suspension appeal and expulsion hearings
  • Periodically transporting students complying with traffic ordinances and school transportation policy
  • Performing other duties as required

Working Environment

  • Workplace locations include: School, activity center, outdoor play areas; Retreat/field sites; and Other environments as deemed necessary/appropriate

Terms of Employment

  • 260 days
  • Salary to be determined based on experience and education level
  • All staff members are issued one-year contracts

Physical Demands

  • While performing the duties of his/her job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, talk, and/or hear.
  • The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Additional Working Conditions

  • The noise level in this work environment is quiet to loud depending on the activity and location.
  • Working conditions for this job include (1) possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and tissue; and (2) occasional operation of a motor vehicle to transport students.
