About the role
At Cambria, we take care of our people by offering a great workplace with excellent benefits. This position is responsible for performing clerical and receptionist duties for the FabShop, involving hands-on fabrication and finishing of materials, and providing quality assurance.
Responsibilities
- Auxiliary management with scheduling shipments and deliveries, and monitoring inventory levels.
- Interacting with customers via phone, email, and in-person to provide support.
- Preparing reports and performing general clerical duties, including extensive use of Excel.
- Cooking daily shipping activities, including preparing Bills of Lading (BOLs), generating pick sheets, and communicating routes to drivers.
- Compiling daily data for the department's scorecard, managing the Month-End Shipping (MES) list, and updating shipping details in Oracle.
- Auditing shipping and sales numbers, and ordering necessary shipping supplies.
- Serving as a point of contact for drivers, communicating with various internal departments, and sending required updates to Finance.
- Providing backup for the Shipping/Receiving Supervisor, assisting other teams as needed, and maintaining all safety certifications.
- Professionally managing all incoming calls, transferring them to the correct individuals and taking detailed messages to ensure timely communication.
- Greeting and assisting all guests entering the FabShop in a friendly and professional manner.
- Performing general clerical tasks such as data entry, filing, and ordering office supplies.
- Maintaining a daily log of all incoming calls and keeping the reception area clean and organized.
- Conducting comprehensive quality control testing on finished products using established procedures and test methods.
- Performing final inspections of finished products prior to shipment to customers and/or distribution centers.
- Maintaining meticulous documentation for all quality tests and inspections, ensuring accuracy and traceability.
- Conducting regular quality audits to verify adherence to standard operating procedures.
- Effectively blending seams, ensuring a high-quality finished product.
- Interpreting blueprints and sketches to set up and operate lamination equipment.
- Responsible for its daily inspection and safe operation.
- Performing thorough quality checks on all finished pieces.
- Completing required documentation with detail and accuracy and maintaining a clean and orderly work area, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Cross-training on multiple types of equipment.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor or Management.
Qualifications and Skills
- Possesses strong written and verbal communication skills, a high level of professionalism, and excellent customer service abilities.
- Proficient in using standard office equipment, with a working knowledge of phone systems.
- Experience with word processing, data entry, and scheduling.
- Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks with a sense of urgency.
- The ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Proficiency with basic mathematics.
- Ability to speak and read English sufficiently to converse with the general public, read and understand highway signs/signals, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports/records.
- Ability to work with cleaning products.
- Minimum Requirements: Education - High school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Experience - 2+ years of office experience and previous experience in the stone or carpentry industry is preferred. Systems - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace is preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Lift up to 60 lbs.
- Push/pull 100 lbs.
- Stand on feet for long periods of time during a shift for up to 12 hours, with intermittent breaks.
- Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided by Cambria.
- Participate in daily stretch and flex exercises.
- Work in an outdoor environment in all weather conditions.
- Walk up and down steps multiple times throughout shift.
- Bend over multiple times throughout shift.
- Task Based Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements: Steel toed boots, Hearing Protection, Safety glasses, Cut-proof gloves, Latex gloves, Face shield, High visibility vest, Respirator.

Pay
Cambria’s starting hourly range for this position is $20.00 - $25.63. Hourly ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the target for new hires for the position. Individual pay is determined by several factors, including work location, job-related experience, and relevant education and/or training.
