About the Role

This position works out of our Altavista, VA location in the Abbott Nutrition division. Our Nutrition business develops science-based nutrition products for people of all ages, from helping babies and children grow to keeping adult bodies strong and active. Millions of people around the world count on our leading brands – including Similac®, PediaSure®, Pedialyte®, Ensure®, and Glucerna® – to help them get the nutrients they need to live their healthiest lives. Altavista, Va., is one of Abbott’s largest nutrition manufacturing plants equipped with advanced technology to ensure efficient production.

Responsibilities

  • Answering phones, calendar management, scheduling travel, managing correspondence and scheduling couriers, processing expense reports, meeting/event planning.
  • Creating or modifying business documents, preparing presentations from source materials, handling teleconferences, acting as a liaison for remote access issues.
  • Support for tracking budget expenditures.
  • Coordinate and maintain departmental files, as assigned, in compliance with corporate and government regulations.
  • Follow purchasing and requisition procedures, Corporate Security and Privacy Rules, Corporate Branding Guidelines, and Copy Center procedures (if applicable).
  • Order business cards and office supplies.
  • Use basic to intermediate software skills to perform work assigned.
  • Use and understand Microsoft Office Suite and other business-specific software, including the Corporate Travel Web site, and employee performance management systems (as applicable).
  • Coordinate new employee onboarding and office set-ups.
  • Frequently interact with high-level executives.
  • Handle confidential or business-sensitive information.
  • Maintain and manage calendars, including meeting and travel scheduling and domestic and international travel arrangements.
  • Proactively identify and resolve scheduling conflicts.
  • May be the primary point of contact for manager’s schedule.
  • Ensure compliance with FDA, OSHA, and Abbott policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1 year previous Administrative experience.
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, Visio, and Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Some college preferred.

Pay

The base pay for this position is $19.05 – $38.15 per hour. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
