About the role
The Administrative Assistant 2 supports the operational activities of the Department, relieving management of administrative tasks and providing detailed support.
Responsibilities
- Maintains departmental programs and meetings, including planning, preparation, implementation, and evaluation.
- Aids in budgetary matters and assists with composing business documents.
- Designs reports to support departmental operations and independently creates correspondence.
- Coordinates special events and provides training on computer applications.
- Maintains calendars, schedules, and attendance records, and distributes reports and materials.
- Investigates and resolves invoicing issues, prepares expense files, and reconciles check requests and purchase orders.
- Makes travel arrangements and prioritizes communication and requests for meetings.
- Maintains a working knowledge of Rush's standard computer applications and coordinates office space management.
- Initiates and/or reconciles check requests, purchase orders, and travel vouchers for department cost centers.
- Supports the management in making travel arrangements.
Requirements
- High School Diploma with three years of progressive experience in an administrative role, preferably in Healthcare.
- Advanced software skills in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Access, and PowerPoint, and scheduling/calendar software.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Ability to analyze data and prioritize multiple initiatives.
- Ability to produce accurate documents and reports.
- Ability to work in complex administrative systems and interact effectively with internal and external customers.
Qualifications
- Baccalaureate Degree preferred.
Skills
- Microsoft Office Suite proficiency.
- Advanced software skills in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

Pay
The pay range for this role is $18.87 - $29.73 per hour, reflecting the anticipated wage or salary reasonably expected to be offered for the position. Offers may vary depending on individual circumstances.
Schedule
The work schedule is Shift 1, 8 hours (8:30:00 AM - 5:00:00 PM).
