Hourly rate: $19.75 (inclusive of the mandatory 4.5% retirement contribution to the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund).

Schedule
203 days per year, 7:00 A.M. – 3:30 P.M. (may be adjusted by administration). This position is represented by the Oswego Support Professionals Association (OESPA).
Responsibilities
- Assist building administration with necessary clerical tasks
- Answer telephone and email, provide accurate information, and route calls or messages to the appropriate school employee
- Assist students with a wide variety of questions/issues brought to the Dean’s office
- Respond to parent phone/email inquiries regarding attendance, student conduct, detentions, lockers, parking, etc.
- Maintain attendance, discipline, and other areas of the Student Information System (PowerSchool), including entering data, running reports, and flagging issues that need attention
- Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit
Qualifications
- Highly organized, flexible, and willing to work as a team to assist with priority projects
- Strong background in Excel, Word, and Google applications
- Attention to detail
- Comfortable working closely with staff and students
- Ability to work in stressful situations and excel in a fast-paced environment
- Bilingual skills helpful
- Prior experience working in a Dean’s Office or related environment preferred
- Willingness to build trusting relationships with students
- Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality of all student personal information
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to relate well to students, staff, and parents
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including tact in communicating sensitive information
- Ability to work independently and multi-task
